What is CEO Plus, what makes us unique?
CEO Plus brings together top executives from non-competing, similar sized companies, into an advisory board process through which these leaders gain fresh ideas and new insights. We are in the business of attracting, training and supporting a select group of highly qualified people and helping them grow their businesses.
The foundation of our service includes a half-day monthly meeting, a quarterly one-on-one meeting and an annual two-day goal setting retreat. The monthly meeting consists of 8-12 members per group and encompasses group learning, in-depth review and planning, and round table discussion. This “peer advisory board” concept works by leveraging the experience and expertise of the members of the group to the benefit of the individual. Knowledge and information is exchanged between those who have it and those who need it. This forum serves as the platform for advice, feedback, ideas and accountability. We consider our approach to be unique because the goal setting process we employ enables us to help the whole person and not just their business results. Also, accountability partners within the group track Key Performance Indicators for each other and recognize when their partners are on or off track.
Is a CEO Plus Chair a consultant?
No, a CEO Plus Chair is a combination of a coach, mentor, confidant, facilitator, recruiter and selector of members; a catalyst for positive change and a leader of leaders. A Chair is not expected to have the answers (like a consultant); rather, he or she knows how to ask probing, challenging questions and get others in the group to do the same.
Who will be my fellow group members?
The environment of success that is created with the roundtable is world class and closely protected. Members of Premier groups must be Presidents or CEOs of organizations whose sales revenue are between $2.5 – $50 million a year. Second tier groups are also available for firms with revenue below $2.5 million. Each group member is from a non-competing industry and will always be approved by current group members before they are admitted.
What is the required time investment?
We understand the value of the time invested in these events and realize the results must outweigh this investment. Therefore, every month all members will meet for one four hour roundtable; there will also be an annual two day off-site planning retreat. In addition, personal coaching sessions will be held at least quarterly.
Which CEO Plus group should I join?
Our facilitators are experts in matching members to groups because they recognize that the true success of the group hinges on the experience and interaction of its members. Group placement is based on a careful analysis of each member’s unique background, organizational goals, and personality.
How are the facilitators trained and why are they needed?
CEO Plus facilitators are master facilitators and coaches. Not only are they supported by a strong network of other members and coaches, but they are also high level CEOs. These group leaders possess a finely honed ability to ask challenging and risky questions to pull knowledge and skills out of the heads of the other members. Most importantly, they facilitate a trusting environment for the members, and hold the members accountable to the execution of strategies that are developed through the group process.
